"I worked with Yvonne Themba from 2011 until the end of December 2015 at Shanduka Group, a multi billion rand company with diversified interests in terms of sector and equity interest. Yvonne was the Group Executive Director for Human Resources and Corporate Affairs and I was the Group CEO.

Yvonne played a critical role in providing a new leadership team for one of the businesses we controlled which had significant performance difficulty when we acquired it, but began achieving the results we had aspired to once we had the new team that she brought in. Identifying senior talent was critical for all the underlying businesses that we controlled and she managed that very well.
